Apartment close to the beach with one bedroom No seaviews MENORCA

Alojamiento primera linea de playa Positive: A 50m de la playa con acceso directo y ducha exterior en la entrada para la playa; apartamento amplio, tranquilo, completamente equipado, con terraza espaciosa para comidas/cenas en grupo, parking gratuito a 100m Negative: No hay A/C, solo ventiladores

Lage ok, Wohnung Nr. 10 nicht wie beschrieben. Preis leistung passte nicht. Positive: Die Unterkunft war direkt am Strand von Punta Prima Negative: Die Fotos waren nicht repressiv auf der Homepage abgebildet. Es hatte keine Meersicht und keine von den 75 Fotos von der gebuchten Wohnung. Im Bad hatte es einen alten Seifenspender der komplett mit schwarzem Schimmel befallen war und zudem noch in dem kleinen Bad beim Duschen gestört hat. Küchenlicht war defekt und das dazu gebuchte Willkommen packet war sehr spärlich für 60.- Euros.

Positive: Espacioso, muy cómodo y encima de la playa!

Cozy, spacious, well equipped flat next to Punta Prima beach Positive: Right next to the beach, enough spacious with large terrace and well equipped kitchen (even essentials to cook, e.g. oils, salt, etc. were provided). Clean premises and friendly staff. Negative: The only little downside was a dead cockroach, and the water from the shower up front that didn’t sink. However the workers are aware and need to wait until the gardeners take care of it. No problem!

Lovely location. Disappointing experience. WATCH THE HIDDEN DEPOSIT CHARGES. Positive: Nice location on the beach. If you have a room facing the sea and can sit on your balcony on the evening, this must be lovely (I wouldn't know). The beach is very nice, not many waves, clear water. Friendly feeling. Negative: Don't book these apartments if you know you are going to arrive early. There is no toilet facilites or anywhere to leave your cases while waiting for your room. You also need to access the internet to check in and fill forms, so if you can't use your phone overseas, or are as useless (as my dad is on his phone) then this is not an option. There is no inperson communication. The deposit situation is ridiculous. I paid more for the deposit than I did for my stay in the apartments. I booked 3 nights for one person (but only stayed for 2). I paid c.475 Euros for the stay then had to pay 500 Euros for 3 nights deposit. Bonkers. You either have to pay cash via BACS (which incurs a charge with your UK bank), pay on your credit card and the apartment company add a levy of c. 20 Euros to this, or you can pay their insurance premium which is c. 30 Euros. I was so annoyed and disgusted. My blood is still boiling to this day. 500 Euros for one person for 3 nights, it is just ridiculous. If you have a room facing the sea I am sure it will be lovely - I was on the ground floor at the back, which was very disappointing. You wouldn't know you were in beautiful Menorca. My room was also starting to look tired. Chipped toilet seats, rust on the fridge etc.
